Glass-Bonded Mica Post Insulators


Isolex mica-glass post insulators are designed for technical applications in the railway, metallurgical and electromechanical sectors, for both indoor and outdoor installations.

Manufactured from inorganic mica bonded with glass, these insulators provide high electrical, mechanical and thermal stability, even under severe operating conditions. The inorganic nature of the material also gives the surface an excellent resistance to electrical tracking that may occur as a result of short-duration surface discharges.

Mica-glass insulators are particularly suitable for applications requiring reliable electrical insulation, good mechanical strength and, above all, continuous operation at high temperatures up to +400°C. Thanks to the compression moulding process and the inherent properties of mica and glass, the material maintains stable performance even in environments exposed to heat, electrical stress and demanding industrial conditions.

This combination of properties makes mica-glass post insulators particularly suitable for applications in which conventional insulating materials may not provide the same level of long-term performance and reliability.
