Silicone post insulators
Silicone insulators are used in electrical power generation, transmission and distribution networks. They consist of a glass-fibre-reinforced epoxy resin core overmoulded with a silicone rubber composite material.
Thanks to its hydrophobic properties and resistance to UV radiation, silicone is particularly suitable for outdoor applications and demanding environmental conditions.
Isolex manufactures a wide range of composite insulators, including both support and tension insulators.
