Epoxy resin and BMC post insulators
Epoxy resin and BMC support insulators are used when an effective combination of electrical insulation, mechanical strength, dimensional stability and long-term reliability is required.
Thermosetting epoxy resins and BMC compounds make it possible to design robust and precise components capable of mechanically supporting conductors or live parts, while ensuring safe electrical insulation from metal structures and fastening elements.
This range of Epoxy resin and BMC insulators are manufactured using compression and transfer moulding technologies. These controlled production processes ensure excellent material compactness, minimising internal voids and residual air bubbles and delivering high and consistent electrical performance.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, the range offers a CTI greater than 600, together with excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability and long-term reliability.
Selected epoxy resin and BMC formulations are also qualified in accordance with EN 45545:2020 for railway applications.
